Dragon

Basswood — woodburned and chiselled

A dragon, with its back worked into row after row of overlapping scales. It came out of wanting to practice woodburning more than anything — but a dragon felt like the right thing to point the tool at, something with enough scales and shadow to actually get lost in. The front is burned; the back is chiselled by hand.
